Native Butterfly Talk with Mara Meisel

Long-time resident of the Town of Shenandoah, naturalist, and retired Shenandoah National Park Ranger, Mara Meisel, will talk about butterflies that people can find around town, and how they can help to encourage them on their property.  We'll look at slides of many butterfly species and discuss connections between them, flowers, and caterpillar host plants.  Seeds of plants that attract butterflies will be given out while supplies last.  This is a free event held at the Town of Shenandoah Museum (507 First Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849) starting at 2:00 p.m.
