Welcome to the Shenandoah Community Computer Center! The computer center opened in March 2005. We came into being as the result of a USDA Broadband Grant award. The computer center was supported entirely by the grant for two years. The town now supports the center as a service to the community.
The computer center offers high speed internet access and unlimited use for $12.00 per year or $1.00 per month. We are also a full service digital photo print shop. We can print your photos from a camera, flash drive or memory card. Need photo restoration or color restoration? We can repair your old damaged photos and reprint them.
We have fax services, copy services, laminate items and also comb bind books.
Do you need flyers or brochures? We can help. Custom cards to your specification also available.
The computer center also offers many classes for a nominal fee year round. Please stop in or call to inquire about how we may help you. We have a volunteer instructor: Bruce Arnold.
The computer center employs one full time and one part time associate. Joyce Fluharty is the Computer Center Supervisor, Betty Knowles is the Administrative Assistant. Betty Knowles also serves as a volunteer Assistant Instructor. We can be reached at 540-652-8773.
We have "Armchair" Genealogy Research available for $10.00 per hour. Call 540-652-8773 for more information. We also offer Genealogy Workshops throughout the year.
We offer courses in basic computer use from September through May all taught by our volunteer instructor, Bruce Arnold who is currently in his tenth year as an instructor at the computer center.
