Objectives

The purpose for which this corporation is organized are:

To foster the restoration and preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the town of Shenandoah and its vicinity.

To develop and support activities compatible to the historical heritage of the community and the Stevens Cottage.

To encourage the use of the Stevens Cottage for appropriate community functions and events.

To preserve the memories, traditions and cultural background of this historical building.

To own and maintain property according to requirements set forth by the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission.

Non Profit

This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes, including for such purposes the making of distributions to organizations under section 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Code.

Volunteer Support

The Shenandoah Heritage Center, Inc. is based on volunteer support.  Your ideas and involvement are needed and welcomed.  For more information contact our officers listed on this web site or email us at SHC@highspeedlink.net.

Meetings

Meetings of this organization shall be held monthly at Stevens Cottage with all members being notified of dates and times.

Meetings are open to all members.  Plan on attending and showing your support.

Stevens Cottage was built in 1890 and is owned and maintained by the Shenandoah Heritage Center.  It is available for rent for special functions and events.
