Beta Sigma Phi Sorority
The Shenandoah Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi was established in the fall of 1973. The purpose of the chapter is to unite women of the community for friendship, cultural development, and community service. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays from September to May. Projects completed include financing a yearly scholarship to a Page County High School graduating senior, donating to Choices, providing and serving refreshments for the Christmas tree lighting, hosting receptions for dignitaries attending Shenandoah parades, and other activities benefiting local community and its citizens. Moneys for community services are raised from various activities. Presently, the sorority has an active membership of between 15-20 women.
