The historic first alumni banquet was held in the spring of 1939 and included the earliest graduates
from the first Shenandoah High School Class of 1911. Since 1939, the Association has met annually with the exception of a few years' suspension during World War II.
Accelerated growth in Association membership continued through the Class of 1961, after which Shenandoah High School ceased to exist due to regional consolidation. The 51 senior classes from 1911 to 1961 have produced 1,089 graduates. The Alumni Association membership remains active and enthusiastic in spirit with over 700 living alumni scattered across the United States.
